"A" = Euro-approval number,
"B" = VIN (Vehicle identification number).
"C1" = maximum authorised weight
"C2" = maximum authorised weight for vehicle + trailer
"C3" = authorised weight, front axle
"C4" = authorised weight, rear axle
"C5" = authorised weight when towing a trailer (until 1997)
"D" = Colour code, body (See Annex)
"E" = Colour code, interior fittings (See Annex)
"F" = Country code, (See Annex)
"G" = 6-character chassis code:
First and second characters: give the specification of the front suspension strut.
Third character: gives the dimensions of the front roll bar.
Fourth and fifth characters: give the specification for the rear wheel suspension.
Sixth character: gives the dimensions of the rear roll bar.
"H" = Month and year of manufacture
"I" = VIN-Code, only certain countries
